I've used General Hydro's Flora Series, Botanicare's Pure Blend, Advanced Nutrient's Connoisseur, and Canna's Terra and Coco mixes. The Promix HP already is 30% perlite. It can be used quite successfully right out of the bag. I use sunshine promix 4. It's a different brand with a different blend of ingredients. I can get it way cheaper then Promix brand HP.
