WebDec 19, 2013 · As far as I know the only functional difference is that TollTag works at the airport and TxTag does not. I think there used to be some roads that only accepted one or the other, but that is not the case anymore. I also have heard that TxTag refills with $20 where TollTag refills $40 at a time. WebDFW's Airport plazas will not open for drivers with defective toll tags, and the non-toll tag rates will be assessed. DFW Airport does not currently have the ability to resubmit transactions through NTTA and cannot change a transaction after the guest has exited DFW. Payment processing and unblocking of NTTA tag is not real-time.
